VMworld Underground Update message

If you are curious about what has been going on out at The VMworld Underground lately, (like Steve Beaver is), you might want to read the update message that went out to our members tonight. Just remember, membership has it privileges. Still working on what those privileges are, but I’m sure someday they will amount to something.

Hey Undergrounders,

VMworld Underground has awaken and we’re spelling virtualisation with an “s” until VMworld Europe 2009 is complete! I just wanted to make sure you were aware of some of the changes that have been happening and invite you to keep an eye on us.

1. VMworld Underground has found a tighter focus and mission

a. We will focus on the vParty API, a combination of entertainment and virtualisation.

b. We will cover the major virtualisation conferences and try to bring that experience home to the less fortunate geeks.

2. We are launching a podcast this week on Talkshoe. http://www.talkshoe.com/tc/27880 It will be a mix between LUGRadio, TWIT and VMware Communities Roundtable. It will hopefully be entertaining for many. I’m basically looking for an excuse to make a fool of myself. :)

3. For the duration of VMworld Europe, we will be highlighting VMworld Undergrounder Eric Sloof’s coverage of VMworld Europe. Our main page features an RSS feed of Eric’s VMworld Europe 2009 category from his blog at http://ntpro.nl . I know many of you will cover the conference, but it’s Eric’s tireless coverage of the VMworld “experience” that fit’s very nicely into what we’re trying to do here at VMworld Underground. I will be on the hunt for “experience” blog posts and will repost them on the site as we see them. for that matter, anyone is welcome to post a blog post on the Underground and it will be shared with the world.

As always, holler at me if you have any questions, requests or suggestions about the site, the podcast or anything. I aim to please…unless you are Microsoft.
